New Phone Choice for GSM/Camera???
I don't know if this is the correct forum for this, but none of the others seem even remotely applicable.
1)I'm shopping for a new GSM/Camera phone
2)I already have a French pay-as-you-go phone with a Bouygues SIM chip
3)My old French phone doesn't lock, is too big, etc.
4)Therefore, I'm looking for a new GSM phone(so I can use it in California, too) which will accept my French SIM card(so I can keep my French phone number) and would like a new camera phone(just because it's cool and I might not have to carry the digital camera around, too.
I already know that AT&T and T-Mobile are partnered with Bouygues and have the best reputation for this kind of thing. However, I have also heard from other international travellers that T-Mobile has lots of dead space.
Do any of you have any recommendations for carriers or plans??? Or for any of the new generation of phones or camera/phones.
AT&T won't unlock their new phones, but they did tell me where to have it done. T-Mobile apparently will send you an unlock code after two months of service, but also recommend another provider for unlocking immediately.
