Just because you can get a phone with those capabilities doesn't mean you have to use those capabilities. Many of the so-called feature phones have many of the smartphone features, albeit far less robust. If I were going for a phone for just calls and texts (and maybe the occasional photo/video), it would have to have a qwerty keypad, which narrows the field considerably. I'd probably want something a little more compact, but something in that form factor would be an option. The last thing *I* want to type text messages on is a regular phone keypad. Ugh.
