My finacee and I just used Global Entry for the first time last week returning from Costa Rica.

The best $100 I've ever spent, hands down. It was a welcome sight walking from E Terminal at IAH and seeing the huge mass of people waiting at immigration (about 45 minutes worth we would later find out). Bidding our non-GE friends goodbye, we headed to the kiosk and were finished in about a minute and on our way to baggage. Our luggage was already circling the conveyor waiting for us. Customs had a nice 10 minute or so line, we approached using the empty GE line. When the CBP agent finished with the customer, he stopped the folks trying to approach from the regular line and waved us up. A few quick glances at the GE chit and our Passports and we were out the door. Couldn't have been more than 5 minutes from entering immigration to walking out the door and the includes the walk times as the customs area at IAH is quite large and spread out.

Can't say it enough, get Global Entry. You'll be glad you did.

Can't wait for trusted traveler Pre-Check to come to IAH this year!
