Hey FT community,
I am flying from ATL to LAX this afternoon (Flt 2155) and given that I mostly travel domestic, I wanted to upgrade to fly first class on this beastly 777-LR and experience these full reclining seats in all their glory .

I called the hotline and was told nothing in first class was available for upgrade, either using miles (M Class Ticket) or by changing my fare class to A, F, etc.

Sure enough, when I try to book a first class ticket online, it says nothing is available for that flight. However, when you look at the seat map it was showing 5 first class seats available last night, and 3 this morning.

Any ideas as to why?
