Back on topic, you also need to see if there is a transfer bonus (AMEX->DL) available right now. Often this is 50%, which would end up yeilding enough for all 4 tickets.

Early December is a good time to look (it will be harder to find the cheap tickets as you get near Christmas). If you are going for more than a couple weeks, you could look at moving the deaprture into Novemeber a bit.
