Yes, of those 10 now-closed threads (no two of which were on the same topic), there were no less than 99 replies beyond the original posts. Most of them managed to avoid personal attacks against other posters.
Of course, there are always a few exceptions - there are some who would prefer name-calling to debate, and others who prefer no debate at all. This latter group seems to be in the ascendency today.
Is it better to cut off debate and attack other posters?
Or do we prefer to foster free speech and discussion?
