I thought they had ditched this terrible idea. Back in the summer of 2007 I arrived on an ERJ (expressjet i think) from SJC. We landed on the north complex at about 1005. By the time we arrived at the remote stand on the south complex and bussed to the terminal my 1050 ish flt. to MCO (and F seat) was closed. Not gone but sitting there and the agent wouldn't let myself and a few others from my SJC flight board after being subjected to the remote stand circus. The kicker of the whole thing was that we were made to wait on the bus for the flight crew to close up the airplane for the night and ride back with us.....an additional 5-10 min. wasted. A terrible idea for sure - made even worse when a lack of operational coordination has people unnecessarily missing connections as a result.
