I have a friend who is against the home loan mortgage deduction and unemployment insurance. He does not claim the deduction and while temporarily out of work did not collect unemployment. He puts his money where his mouth is. Most Americans want everything they can possibly get so long as they don't have to pay for it. DL is apparently the same. No surprise, and this is a very minor case of hypocrisy. Nothing to see here.
To me, hypocrisy isn't arguing against a policy that you benefit from--hypocrisy is deriding somebody else for benefiting from a policy that you benefit from. I personally strive to 'put my money where my mouth is', as you phrase it, but DL is a corporation and has an obligation to its shareholders.
