Actually,
anonplz, I was kidding.

I do, however, have an extremely efficient metabolism and am certain that if there were a famine, I would still be trying to lose 5 pounds after everybody else had long expired.
Hunki, on the other hand, has an extremely inefficient metabolism and can eat 4 or 5 times as much as I and still look slim and trim.
It has helped me a great deal over the years to just train myself that things I really shouldn't eat aren't really food--fried foods, sweets, etc. This allows me to focus on really healthy food: veggies, fruit, grilled chicken, grilled fish, olive oil, brown rice and red wine, all of which fall within level one or two of Michi's Ladder (the food guide for our health program), basically all very healthy non-processed foods. The only processed food I eat is Slim Fast for breakfast, but that is mostly because I am always in a hurry and Slim Fast and a banana is a lot better than nothing for starting the day.
You are most certainly right that there are tons and tons of wonderful, tasty recipies that one can make with just healthy ingredients. I made a really killer halibut and asparagus risotto last week and the best mixed salad I believe that I have ever tasted.
Rudi gave me what has to be the world's very best olive oil and balsamic vinegar a while back and while the olive oil is long gone, I am hoarding the vinegar and treat myself on special occasions. I will post what the brand is when I get back home. We are at the Westing LAX right now.
Hunki says it is time to go work out.
