You are not currently eligible for this offer
I signed up with UA promo. Called Fidelity prior to signing up to make sure I will be eligible since I already had IRA account with them. I was told that IRA account is not considered retail account and I will be eligible. They even sent me personalized link with UA offer to register. Shortly after my initial registration and deposit received email stating “Unfortunately, our records indicate that you are not currently eligible for this offer because existing customers are ineligible for this offer.”
When I called the next day I was told that the first advisor was wrong and technically IRA account is considered retail account. But because I was misinformed by Fidelity they will honor the offer but it would have to be done manually. I would need to contact them once I reach my deposit requirements and they would submit a request to the promotion department. Has anyone had similar experience?
