Not trying to hijack this thread re hardstands and crjs but the gate situation at LAX definitely leaves something to be desired. Granted it was during the evening rush but my mainline flight spent between 20-25 minutes after landing just sitting at the west end of the runway waiting for a gate to open up.
Yeah it's a rough situation. Delta is aware of it and that's why I wrote the response I did above...
