Well, we all know that it isn't just a few people who look at the topics in the ORP forum; MANY people do, even the moderators. So my post was an attempt to bring to light to the FT community one of ways in which engaging in personal attacks can hurt FT (aside from you who engage in personal attacks and other members).

As for myself, in the past, I believe I've dealt with trolls effectively mostly without seeking any kind of intervention. When I did seek intervention on a couple of occasions, no action was taken, and I'm fine with that. The message, I presume, is that that's just the way it is - take it or leave it. Well, I'm still here, so I must be here because I like it...

And I second GUWonder's post, Randy - really, thanks for hosting such a fabulous site!
