I would think credit history is your biggest issue. If you've never used your SSN, there's nothing "creditworthiness" associated with it. As pointed out above, your Canadian excellent credit rating may not be as useful when applying for a U.S. credit card.

Maybe you should starting looking for cards in this thread instead?
