I think there is one Eppie's left in West Sacramento, but I never found them to be any better than say Dennys or IHOP.

I left Sacra-tomato 20 years ago and rarely look back except to attend speedway motorcycle races at Auburn a couple times each summer.
There are still some okay hofbraus in Fresno, Silver Dollar and Downtown, but a lot that used to be in the Central Valley have closed. So have some of the great old Basque restaurants.
