BTW, I achieve my Platinum status mainly from number of stays not nights. Depends on the towns, cities I visit, I tend to split my stays between HHonors and SPG though. Currently, I think I have close to 150 nights. Uhmm... 500 nights is still a long way but I hope to achive it within 10 years, let's hope.

Q: If I read it correctly, does it mean every year one needs to maintain his/her Platinum Status in order to qualify for Lifetime Platinum?
