Wow, I actually read this whole thing, except for the original post which unfortunately has been removed.

Although some of the early responses were not very sympathetic, it seems to me that the OP is the one who took a bit of a confrontational tone early on to anyone who didn't fully agree with him. When you post an opinion (your perception of an event and how you think it should have been handled is pretty much an opinion) on an open, mostly anonymous Internet forum like this, I don't think it's realistic to expect everyone to see it your way. Or very productive to then just get mad and take your ball home. So maybe, just maybe, the OP's expectations on the plane weren't entirely realistic or productive either when the flight crew apparently did see it his way.
