I think it is pretty clear that Randy does not want to deal with issues that he has appointed moderators for to take care of them. I am one of the people who is very interested in what Randy has to say on questions of mileage devaluation, Flyertalk relaunch (vbulletin) or discussing targeted promotions on Flyertalk. Therefore, I have an interest in people not flooding him with simple moderation requests that should not be a big deal anyway.
And as a sidenote, chances are, if your children are in college, they would not be shocked by a little thread like that.
