Fair enough. It is largely a matter of personal preference I feel.

I have had a few outstanding flights on Delta in the last year or so. Even with their comparatively ancient aircraft on BOM-AMS and the definitely antiquated seats, their crew and soft product more than made up for it.

I prefer the light and casual yet methodical approach taken by Delta's older, more experienced crew to the never-quite-sure-what-to-do style of Jet's younger, more energetic staff. And I'll take the Jet way over SQ's kowtowing fem-bots any day of the week.


I do think all of us have different interpretations of what constitutes "service". Does it include the hardware? Does it include meals and beverages (not their quality, but whether or not they're offered)? Or is it largely what / how the crew do with whatever it is HQ has decided will be available?
