They could not use a FIM at res, as it is paper, like a check, and there would be no way to get it to the airport. 10:1 says she is going to do what 99% of the major US carriers do, and reissue your ticket, by simpliy exchanging the unused portions for the new routing.
She said that she has a new ticket held for me (CLT-IAD-DEN) but that I need to head to the counter tomorrow and have them issue it in person. It all sounds like its under control but we'll see tomorrow. Thank you for your input. It is really appreciated!
