Caution to those who are taking a domestic flight for their international connection. In the past, Jet used to honor international baggage allowance (23*2 for US bound) as long as the passenger has a copy of the internaitonal itinerary with him/her. However, now (since Oct 2011 it seems) they will not honor it and you have to pay for excess baggage UNLESS your international ticket and the domestic ticket are on the same PNR.

This clearly is a deviation from the policy that they had for a while, and is also not convenient for most international travelers starting their journey from Tier 2 cities in India. Spice Jet still seems to honor international baggage allowance on domestic leg. Just a word of caution for travelers to not rely on their past experiences any more and to check for new policies/rules every time you travel.
