Interesting AA/BA experience
Looking for a deal on BA-CW direct LHR to LAS. Eventually found the cheapest possibility (substantially cheaper I fare, not available at BA) was with aa.com. Reserved the AA code share flight - which is all BA metal. Notice reserved....not purchased. Now that ba.com is working again, I checked in and found that I can select my seats just like a regular BA purchased flight. Got 64a on both segments....
I have to say I didn't expect it to be this easy and don't really understand why I had to purchase (just reserved at this point) at aa.com to get my BA flight at the price I want. Everything else looks and acts like a regular BA flight.
Sorry if this is old hat for all of you, but this is the first time I've gone this route and am a bit bemused by the experience
