Well, better service is entirely subjective. I personally find, for example, Delta to provide a better overall service on the India route than Jet do (this is in J). Jet certainly have the better seats, but that's the only thing they score ahead in.
In any event, you can credit points for flying Jet to AA, AC, B6, DL or UA (maybe even US?) and then redeem those same points on Jet.
