Date of issue = when your Asiamiles are deducted, tax deducted from your credit card, and the ticket becomes "usable", and the e-ticket is issued.

If you look at the "Manage My Bookings" section online, it tells you if your ticket hasn't been issued yet. If it's already issued, you'll be able to download a copy of the e-ticket (in PDF format).

Since none of these things have happened yet (Asia miles not deducted from my account, credit card not charged, and no e-ticket on MPC), then the 1 year clock hasn't started yet? The 1 year clock could start as late as June (right before my departure date) if the e-ticket appears then, even though I reserved and it was confirmed on Feb 25?
