Puerto Rico. Browse other threads in this forum for ideas. SJU may be the easiest Caribbean airport to get to from the US mainland. The place has lots of variety: dining, history, beaches, rain forests.

Other suggestions which haven't been mentioned above: STT, SXM, SKB.
