It doesn't matter what they get, or what anyone on this thread thinks they deserve, re compensation, as apparently a mis-connect is a big deal, and EVERYTHING was screwed up!

By the way, compensation from this airline WILL NOT be granted based upon a census of opinion from posters on FT, so the OP's best bet would have his son write to UA instead of posting on here in an attempt to convince a majority that his landing was nearly a crash and his mis-connect was a result of lies.

First UA was totally the blame for this incident and later on posters that didn't go "ALL IN" on this disaster are called "Hard Asses"!

Nothing is guaranteed in this world and a "COMPENSATION" request letter is not going to be moved to the top of the in-box because a FTer says this was a terrible experience!!!

Contact them and kindly let us know what they say!!!
