You have assumed those DMs from Amex know about this
unpublished benefit, and you have also assumed they would switch to AM upon joining which is actually not as good as other OW mileage programmes in terms of the earn-burn ratio.
And the Amex offer is nearly a year ago now, does anyone know if it is still accepting new DMs? If not, the Amex effect on the number of DM should start to diminish.
