I think it is the new full flat bed on A343, flight LX160. however it's to NRT, we will have to make our way to Haneda airport which is 2 hours away, then another hour flight to Osaka... which is not ideal after a 12 hour flight from Europe... Lufthansa gives us the direct route into KIX, but we might have to compromise on the seat comfort... such a hard decision!
Just bear in mind that LX160 arrives at NRT at 8 am TYO time which is midnight European time. The seat is great, service excellent and transfer in ZRH beats FRA by miles, but... it is not a flight where i ordinarily manage to sleep a lot.
Then the direct to KIX is also a "day" flight...also factor in the cost of groundtransportation, immigration queues at NRT and it might be a close call. I would still take the LX flight.
Have you though of taking the shinkansen? Might take longer in pdure time terms but if you can connect from the Nartita express in TYO and need to got to downtown OSA then this could be a nice experience...
