I am preapproved for an amex platinum card through their website. Then my mom get's a 100k mile bonus offer which she doesnt want, so I call and try to apply, at which time the rep tells me I'm not the person who received the promotion so i'd have to go online to try and apply. I just did and I was declined. Does this make any sense?
