I've stayed at the Auberge several times and join in the recommendations. I did not enjoy my stay at Meadowood--the room was not to my taste and service was poor--but that was some time ago.

The French Laundry is a wonderful experience. I would also recommend Redd (also in Yountville) and Cyrus (in Healdsburg) for memorable meals. Napa Valley has numerous very good restaurants that are slightly less high end.
