Have to be honest and say I went and have a look at the thread expecting to see names and codes and inside stuff etc. Not my call of course but nothing there clued me in to how to access staff rates.

A Marriott employee who is a FT'er kindly offered me the ability to book on that Assoc rate, but need to walk me thru the steps on website that would have allowed this.

None of that kinda stuff is posted on the thread.

I have seen UA staffers on UA board discuss benefits, staff travel costs and perks at length and there seemed no backlash to that - as FT'ers simply cannot access those bennies. That is the bottom line surely?

There is a near 500 post thread in the Avis board listing EVERY code known to mankind. FBI rate, Staff rate, Friends of the Chairman lowball rate codes etc:
