In the interests of accuracy,
Mikesilv needs to read the thread again. The quotation cited above was not made by
PineyBob about
QL but by
PineyBob about
Mr Gitomer, who is not (yet?!) a participant on the thread. Incidentally, the thread carries the word
pee rather than
p*ss.
There may have been another flame in the thread, this time by PineyBob about QL, but it has already been edited out so we cannot know.
Both
PB and
QL seemed to have calmed down now, and the conversation continues at a muted level. I suggest that there is no need for timeout. Until the facts debated in the referenced thread actually become clear, there's no point in getting ourselves upset about it.
With reference to the public spat between
Punki and
CameraGuy, can I suggest that we all display different facets of our personalities on different occasions. Sometimes they're attractive, sometimes they're less than attractive. Sometimes they're face-to-face, sometimes they're online or in print.
Mr Gitomer seems to be a prime example of this.
Jungian psychology would say that the things we like least about others are precisely the things present in our own dark side that we don't want to acknowledge. So, whether it's
Punki or
CameraGuy or
Ozstamps or
Gitomer or anyone else, beware of pouncing on the less attractive aspects when they sneak in (as they sometimes do): your pouncing only serves to prove that part of you is like that too.....
