I only have one EC experience, flying AMS-MSP, but as far as the liquor is concerned, you have to ask for it, as the FAs make only two comprehensive drink runs with the cart the entire flight. They bring water around every hour or so, but if you want a drink after meal service is over, you have to either ring the call button or wander back to the galley to get it. It is not the same experience as domestic first, where, if you get a good crew, your glass will be bottomless.
