Let's cut gleff a little slack here - he was, after all, following both the letter and the spirit of his duties. MilesBuzz is probably the toughest forum to moderate because of the vast wealth of junk that gets dumped there by people who don't think about where their post really belongs. The comparisons to the Community forum aren't really parallel - it's not so much about whether the post matches the exact description of the forum as it is about there being a forum that is better for them.

If there is something that bothers you about an individual thread closing, etc, I think the same is true with moderators as anybody else - you will catch more with honey than vinegar
