I don't do more than one international flight per day! but I do travel maybe 80-100 international per year...but I always carry a print out of the e-tciket. Therefore never had any problems in India, Egypt, or Sri Lanka with accessing a terminal. Also helps to find out quickly which terminal you need to be in for places like HKG, PVG, SHA or HND. Or for getting discounted maglev tickets in China. Or for immigration needing to check how long you are staying.

printing out an itinerary seems very easy insurance.
