Have you read the thread? This has already been pointed out a few times now. Your post seems a bit harsh to be condemning the poster for not reading the link, when you have chosen to ignore the posts pointing this out already and telling the poster that you know better than they do what they mean?

As for high tea not being an event repast - I would guess then that you haven't had a good hotel high tea! It is a fab meal, combining the best of both worlds - afternoon tea with a decent meal. Last time I had one was in Anstruther, where we had fresh fish, recently caught and nicely cooked, followed by some great cakes and scones.
