Tkanks for the info.
The construction is ongoing and while I didn't hear any noise as I arrived on New Year's Day, make sure they don't stick you near the garbargs dumpsters where you'll get an unwanted 5AM wake up when the garbage trucks come for a pick-up.
The place looks better with a coat of new paint and the rooms are refurbished but they still have the annoying heating/cooling system built into a window A/C unit so if you are a light sleeper, you can expect to wake up when it cycles on during the night. Can't believe they spent all that money and left that antiquated heating/cooling system in place.
I've stayed in the Dolphin and while it's more expensive, if you're going to get nickel and dimed by parking and other fees (unless you're plat), you may as well stay at the Dolphin where you have a better choice of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.
