I think you did pretty well
The other day I found one seat to SEL on DL Business Elite, or whatever they call it, at Xmas for 120,000 miles which kind of shocked me in a +ve way as DL is terrible these days for low award redemption. So, what it tells me is that for 40k more you got a trip to China thrown in which seems ok to me.

I never even think about BA - the fees they add on are outrageous.
