I'm reminded that Waitrose promote their Tesco price match on 1,000 products stocked by both (but not promotions). During Tesco's double points promo, I was prompted to comment that the price match meant that WR were 2% more expensive than Tesco allowing for the cash value of Clubcard points.
WR are only 1% more expensive than Tesco on these products now.

Talking of Price Match I noticed that Benecol youghurt drinks - 6 pack - was a damn sight cheaper (sub £3) before they were price matching with Tesco, so I bought them there. Then they price matched these to the Tesco price and they went up to £3.78 so that wasn't a great move by Waitrose. However it was even worse because Tesco have a long term deal whereby these are 2 for £6 so Tesco still come out cheaper even before you factor the points in.
