I would use it, when I have business in NQY.

I did LGW-NQY, but it really was DUS-PLH.

Even then, I would have preferred connecting on BA at LHR (rather than U2 through LGW *shudder*)

Now that SZ and PLH are defunct , NQY would be the next best thing...

I think there may be quite a bit of business for connecting travelers, but I am not sure whether loads would be sufficient overall...
