Next week tues i have 3 flights, at T=96 the first one cleared automagically as R=9 right at T=96. When the second and 3rd passed T=96 during the day R=0 for both so nothing cleared. This morning I checked and R=9 on the second and third flights I have on Tues, but no upgrades.
Call #1 to 1K call the agent looked and said flights 2/3 should have cleared and she would check and see why it hadnt. Mysteriously my call got dropped after waiting 5 minutes or so, maybe she had bad news.
So Call #2 the agent said the same, should have cleared, she would check with "support". About 5-10 minutes later came back and gave weaksauce replies like "R is for revenue tickets" and "R is for certificates do you want to use one of yours" and "it works automatically". I didnt bite with the cert and said bye.
Call #3 the agent looked at the R=9 and agreed it should have cleared. She then proceeded to check her cheat sheets, verified to herself that she could process the upgrades, and did. She didnt even get someone to help or override anything.
This is my experience, I know it is random/agent dependent on what yours will be...but call and call again til you get the result you want. About 30 minutes on the phone saved me from 5-6 hours in the back of the bus.
0 for 3 so far. Last agent talked to the supervisor got the same response. They don't touch them unless 1K. She said that there must be others ahead of me, but then agreed that couldn't be possible since anyone higher then me is status should have cleared already. Then I got, the computers have been down for a couple of days and they must be catching up. Not buying that.
If this wasn't a 4+ hour flight it wouldn't be that big a deal, but wish the system would work like its supposed to. Aggravated.
