Second Hiddy's suggestion of Glasgow - it's a fascinating city and, whilst welcoming visitors, is not a tourist trap. Earthman is right though, Dublin is lovely.
Sorry to be pedantic, but N. Ireland is not part of Britain. England, Scotland and Wales constitute Great Britain. ritain. England, Scotland, Wales
and N. Ireland form the United Kingdom.
Only Scotland has a parliament. Wales and N. Ireland have devolved Assembly's.
And yes we do get touchy if someone suggests Scotland is in England
With regards to Glasgow. Just don't visit it when the Old Firm are playing each other!
