When I began my career in the aerospace industry (no longer there now) I was told- imagine your family will be flying on one of these birds, do your work- design, maintenance etc- accordingly.
Hmm.... so you would've been more sympathetic if I flew Y instead of F? That makes no sense. I understand WX-related delays, but no matter what apologies one can make for UA on this one, two facts cannot be disputed - they CANNOT take an hour to recalculate whatever they need to recalculate after adding 3 passengers with their luggage to the flight that was already 2 hours late due to MX - and then taking this aircraft and repurposing it for another fight in NRT instead of letting it continue to SIN. And since airlines do admit that MX is within their control and offer compensation for MX, I have the right to be unhappy with the fact that there was no apology or compensation offered.

I posted my experience not to say that this is the worst possible experience one can have flying, but rather than UA is progressively getting worse in my mind as one of the long-time loyal flyers and 1K.

I hope that I am wrong, but I do not see them sending me one. As a matter of fact, in all my years of flying, I've never gotten one proactively! I have received 2-3 SkyKits in my entire life - but that's about it.

I am human, and understand that "stuff happens" - but I am driven away by UA's "don't care when we screw up" attitude.

As far as sitting in F and enjoying FCL..... I think everything has its limits. While I am certainly not complaining about F hard product or FCL, this being my first TPAC trip, I have gained a new-found appreciation for people who do ORD-Asia on a regular basis.
