RIM have come back to say that the comments were misinterpreted and they don't have any plans to completely ditch the consumer market. Personally I hope they don't as they are the cheapest way of getting email on my phone in the UK only costing me £3.33 ($5.33) a month on PAYG (prepaid). There's nothing else cheaper on any other price plan for any other OS/phone over here.
