The difference is, whatever you said (and I don't remember the incident-- hope I wasn't too harsh) you a) said it b) were "called out on it" c) learned from it. (Not trying to be condescending, BTW.)
The other member you reference repeatedly, consistently and intentionally goes into forums of airlines he doesn't fly and makes obnoxious, ill-informed, rude and immature comments as a regular, everyday event. Like in the Terminator "it's
what he does-- it's
all he does!"
I've made more than my share of dumb, snide and rude comments-- but I don't wake up each day trying to figure out how to be dumber, snider and more rude.
I was 20 when I was his age-- I know it's only natural to think you know everything at that age-- but I wouldn't have behaved the way he does. I personally don't see why we have to put up with it.
