i've had this issue on a one-way to jamaica... i wasn't sure if i would stay two or three weeks, and planned on booking the return after a few days testing out the vibes. AA let me check-in, board, etc, but when i got to immigration at kingston they detained me, so i got on the phone and booked my ticket back for three weeks later.
