I think a lot of people don't realize that most of what they use TripIt for is in the free app. Comparison chart is here. I do like having the point tracker feature (not shown as a difference in the chart, but it seems to be a Pro feature), but I don't know that it's worth the extra money for just that when there are other services I can use for unified point tracking.
