Thought that I would check and see how the conversion to the Avios scheme has affected the use of my BA for our annual peak-season trip from PHL to the Caribbean (usually, although not always GCM).

Much to my surprise, I ran some dates in January on BA, and it revealed that I could get our tickets for 24,000 Avios. 2 tickets for 48,000, with good availability. (I paid for our tickets last year, on US, which ended up being about $600 each for the 4 of us, in January.)

Very pleased to see this. Am thinking about re-applying for the BA Chase card as a result.
