I am just the opposite. For a sub 500 mile flight I would rather take a Dash. I find the cabin to be roomier and I like the fact that the windows are at the appropriate height.
I'm with you here. I also feel that the seats on Q400s (on UA connection and Horizon at least) are better padded and much more comfortable than seats on ERJs or CRJs.
