They do sort of have such a thing. The double points reward for golds and the Joker for GGL. They are of course limited to higher status members (I so hate the term elites with all its DYKWIA resonances) but I can see why BA did that. Besides, by the time you are likely to have enough miles to consider utilising (say) double points there is a pretty good chance you would be gold, unless you picked up your miles with Chase.
A separate thought. It is now perfectly possible to pick up eye watering lay generous amounts of miles akin to Chase wilt Lloyds, if you can get Lloyds trained chimps to tell Avios to give you the miles. I wonder if we will see a new wave of disgruntled credit card holders coming here to moan about YQs, hijacking threads left, right and centre and generally being obnoxious? And if not, why not? Those were rhetorical questions BTW
