BA F connecting to AA Y (dom) on 2 different tickets
Can i get away with 3 free bags on AA if i'm on 2 different tickets?

I know I'm allowed 2 free bags as Gold but if i was on one ticket presumably I'd get 3 free all the way? If I persuade them to tag bags through will it help?
